Dylan Alexander is an up-and-coming American film director and writer. He published his first book at the age of 14 and has written numerous books and stories since. Messengers is his first short film and it’s already received multiple accolades.
He is currently working on the second season of his multi-part documentary “Like A Train – A Story About Football” which chronicles the Knights football team and their quest for a perfect season. You can learn more about Like A Train at it’s website.
“Stories are important. Stories feed the mind and inspire the heart. They lift the spirit and challenge the imagination. They have the ability to predict what the future will be, and have the power to reveal the past in a light unseen before. Stories take people to worlds they thought never existed, worlds they thought couldn’t exist. But they can, and they do. Stories make them a reality. Stories make them into truth. Don’t underestimate them (don’t tell me you haven’t before, we all have, even me). They are, collectively, the gateway to utopias, dystopias, kingdoms, planets and universes unlike anything on Earth—or, in some cases, all too much like Earth. Stories can wake people up from their brainwashed states and get them active in the world, doing things they wouldn’t have had they not heard or read or seen them. Stories can save lives.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE STORIES, AND DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE YOUR ABILITY TO CREATE THEM.” – Dylan Alexander
Musician, composer, actor and artist, Eric Maximillian brings a charm and x-factor to the role of “Mike”. In addition to his starring role, he wrote and performed Messengers’ finale song “Thank You” with Hannah Watson in just a few hours.
Eric has also composed much of the music for Dylan Alexander’s documentary series “Like A Train“. He’s been nominated for Best Score in 2 film festivals for both the Like A Train score and Messengers.
You can hear more of Eric’s music at his website.
Professional actor, director and producer, David is best known as a producer in Hollywood circles. We were honored to meet him and be able to work with him at the convention and on this project. Thank you David!
A world traveler from the heartland of the U.K. who I had the good fortune to meet at the film makers convention and who lent her creativity and logistics mastery to this project.
Irina secured the locations for our shoot which by some miraculous grace happened to be right next to each other, by a cove, and owned by the same person enabling us to complete our shoot in one day.
Another amazing talent from the film convention, Amber shot the tragedy scenes while I edited. They came out great! Thank you Amber.
Yes. That is her real name. Lord of the Rings imagery aside, Aisling (pronounced Ashling) is a very talented professional wardrobe & makeup artist. This is her first foray into sound. Not bad! Thanks Aisling!
